Introduction

Opportunity abounds!
Now is the time to be absolutely certain that you really understand your customers' business and more importantly how your products and services help your customers achieve their business objectives.
It
sounds like a cliche but now more than ever you need to know what drives your
customers, what motivates them and what is happening in their industry. You
need to know this to ensure your products and services are:
1.
Not seen as commodities and therefore exposed to price competition and,
2.
More importantly, that the products and services you are offering really are of
'value'.
In
this newsletter we explore the importance of 'knowing your customer' and
highlight in our case study how a Sydney based IT business identified its real
'value proposition' and as a result has successfully created a very distinctive
capability.
